As we enter the new year, it’s time to focus on the new opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. The financial landscape is ever evolving and coupled with looming RSP contribution deadlines, preparing now to hit the ground running in January will be key to your success. Consider these six simple strategies to ensure a successful start.

Define your business goals for 2024. Whether it’s expanding your client base by X%, striving to increase your referability or enhancing your skills, writing down clear objectives will guide your efforts throughout the year.

2. Review & Refine Recommendations:

January is the optimal time to do a deep dive into client files, calculate RSP contribution room and document cash positions that should be put to work.

3. Stack Your Appointment Deck:

With recommendations thought through, proactively fill your calendar with client appointments. Clients will appreciate you acted early and be more likely to provide introductions to friends and colleagues known to rush to get their RSP contribution done on time.

4. Plan to Partner Up:

Clients and prospects seek empowerment through knowledge, but filling a seminar on financial planning alone can be onerous.
